Fracture Care

City Clinic offers comprehensive fracture care and management, ensuring that patients receive the most effective treatments for broken bones and injuries. Our specialized team provides a range of services, from non-invasive options to surgical solutions, tailored to each patient’s age, lifestyle, and specific injury needs. Our fracture care includes advanced techniques that promote faster healing and return to activity.

Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF)
ORIF, or open reduction internal fixation, is a method of treatment primarily used in cases where the fracture is too complex and cannot be maintained by external fixation only. It involves, as the name suggests, an operation in which the fragments of bone are realigned by making an incision and are held in place by means of metal plates, screws or rods. This enables strong fixation of the bones, thus ensuring proper healing and return of function. ORIF surgery is typically recommended in case of complicated fractures occurring in load bearing major bones such as femur or forearm, and reduces chances of subsequent complications.

Closed Reduction
Closed reduction refers to a specific medical treatment of bone fractures, which does not involve any surgical intervention. This procedure is often indicated for bone fractures which are amenable to manual realignment and reduction. Our skilled orthopedic team maneuvers the displaced bone segment into alignment and subsequently immobilizes the limb to promote healing. Closed reduction is a more tolerable form of therapy, as it does not necessitate surgical intervention.

Casting and Splinting
Casting and splinting are known to be successful means of maintaining any fracture in position and facilitating healing under proper conditions. While a cast is a solid encasement that covers the injured region completely offering great stability, a splint is a rigid structure supporting the injured site offering less support. The orthopedic team makes sure that each cast or splint is made, fitted and positioned properly to ensure proper healing of the bones when any of these splints or casts is used.

Pediatric Fracture Treatment
Children’s bones differ significantly from adult bones, requiring specialized care. At City Clinic, our pediatric fracture treatment is designed to address the unique needs of growing bones, ensuring proper healing and minimizing the risk of long-term issues. We offer a variety of child-friendly fracture management options, including casting, splinting, and, when necessary, minimally invasive surgery. Our compassionate team is experienced in working with young patients, helping children heal effectively and return to normal activities safely.

City Clinic is committed to delivering patient-centered fracture care, utilizing advanced methods to promote faster, effective recovery. Our team ensures that each patient receives personalized treatment based on their injury, age, and activity level, restoring strength and mobility while minimizing discomfort. Whether for adults or children, our goal is to provide effective fracture management that supports a full and active lifestyle.
