City Clinic’s Pediatric Orthopedics department is dedicated to providing specialized care for children with orthopedic conditions, from birth through adolescence. We understand that children’s musculoskeletal needs differ significantly from adults, so our approach combines advanced treatment techniques with a child-friendly atmosphere to promote healing and development.
Treatment of Congenital Disorders
Diseases associated with abnormal development of the musculoskeletal system (such as Maya’s clubfoot, hip dysplasia, and other limb deformities) are common anomalies and they all necessitate an early treatment in order to avoid complications and promote healthy musculoskeletal development. Steroid hormone and surgical interventions are combined in our practice where they are applicable to offer pediatric orthopaedic help. We provide specially crafted treatment plans so that we help children achieve the growth required with as little constraints as possible.
Growth Plate Fracture Management
In younger children, fracture seeding may not be uncommon as the skeleton has not yet fully matured. It is important to address these fractures properly, bearing in mind that growth plates will influence the length and shape of the bone after the growth process is complete. Treatment is also provided for these injuries, employing advanced techniques intended to facilitate healing while maintaining growth. As we appreciate the need for healing, we also bear in mind the need to avoid issues in the distant future in regard to bone growth in the pediatric population and endeavor to ensure bone form is restored within the healing period.
Scoliosis in Children
Scoliosis is a lateral deviation of the spine that occurs in most cases during late childhood or early adolescence. Our clinic is also prepared for a full spectrum of pediatric scoliosis treatment, from observing these benign cases in childhood to applying appropriate braces or surgical interventions in adolescent patients. Focused on improving spinal alignment and reducing pain while preventing further progression, we develop specific strategies for treatment that promote children’s well-being.
Cerebral Palsy-related Orthopedic Treatment
Children with cerebral palsy may face a range of musculoskeletal challenges, including muscle tightness, joint deformities, and difficulty walking. Our orthopedic team works closely with other specialists to create holistic treatment plans, including physical therapy, medications, and surgical interventions when needed. Our goal is to improve mobility, alleviate discomfort, and enhance the child’s quality of life, empowering them to participate in daily activities with greater ease.
At City Clinic, our Pediatric Orthopedics team is committed to providing compassionate, specialized care to support children’s growth and development. We work closely with families to address each child’s unique needs, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a nurturing and supportive environment.
